Your Fall Music Video Narrative Filming

Yes, it has been quiet here for a while. School and life have been, well, crazy. We now have just two full weeks of school left!!! Justin and I are beyond excited about being finished with college and starting our lives in Nashville. I am behind on many projects for the blog, including a few recent photo shoots. So I hope to have some of these up throughout these next two weeks. 

A few weeks ago we filmed the narrative portion for Trinity Avenue's "Your Fall." It was roughly six different scenes, but I did not take pictures at all of the sites. 

Thank you Susan Dickerson with Remember This Photography for letting us use her studio for our "white room" scene. Her studio was perfect for the scene we had in mind! 

Sometimes your actors just need to be a little taller.. 

One of my jobs, besides taking pictures, was pulling focus for the husband. 

And a special thanks to The Masters' Brew for letting us film in their coffee shop! 

He literally does it all.

Trinity Avenue's "Your Fall" Music Video Behind the Scenes

This, by far, was one of the funnest sets we have been on yet! It was great to work with these group of guys again. This music video will also be accompanied with a narrative. The shooting for that is Saturday, April 13th. 

The original plan for this video was outside in a field, however, rain was in the forecast. The drummer, Josh Qualls, was able to hook us up with his grandfathers warehouse and it was a perfect location. The warehouse surroundings provided a great depth to the shoot. Another perk of shooting inside a massive warehouse was we were able to drive the vehicles right in. Instead of carrying all of the equipment up two flights of stairs (like on our previous shoot), we only had to carry stuff a few feet. I was also grateful for Jared, Justin's brother, to help us with the shoot. This helped with me having to carry and lift much less =). Another plus! 

I shot this entire session with the 16-35mm lens. It was a fun creative lens to use for a shoot like this. I hope you enjoy all of these pictures. The band did a phenomenal job once again and they are such a great group of people to work with! 

We are so thankful for the apple boxes my Pa built us! We just showed him what we wanted and the next time we came in he had them made and painted for us! He is so awesome and we are so blessed to have him! Justin used them on so many of the shots in the video, such as having to stand on them here.

Sometimes photography requires awkward positions. Apparently videography does too! 

We were even able to use this forklift to get a cool above shot. Props to Quall's grandfather for coming up with the idea! 

We even made time at the end for a few band photos.

The Warehouse Take 2 {behind the scenes}

This past Tuesday night we filmed the last few scenes for our current action film project. The film is pretty violent and the pictures below represent it. There is stabbing with pencils and a lot of blood. So be forewarned before scrolling down. I was the makeup artist, even though I can barely do my own. It was fun to use special products like liquid latex and stage blood for the pencil in the neck. I hope you enjoy these and we should have the video finished within the next few weeks! 

On to other news.. We are on Spring Break!!!!! I am so excited to have nothing to do for a week. I purposefully brought no books home to make sure I did zero homework. =) Smart? Probably not. 

I am taking pictures of a sweet 6 month old tomorrow and the weather is absolutely lovely! So, I am sure you will be seeing plenty of pictures from that and my week with the nephew, Mr. Owen!!
